The Lantech I(P)GS-5016 is a high performance L2+ (All Gigabit) Ethernet switch with 16 10/100/1000T (w/16 PoE 802.3af/at) Ports which provides advanced security function for network aggregation deployment.


Hardened Industrial Design with Dual Power Inputs and Enhanced Protection

The unit is designed with dual redundant power inputs supporting 44~56VDC (48V model), 9~36VDC (24VI model) or 16.8~56VDC input (24TVI model), providing flexibility for vehicle and rail power architectures. It includes features such as:

  • High EFT and ESD protection
  • Compliance with IEC60068-2-31 (Free fall), IEC60068-2-27 (Shock), IEC60068-2-6 (Vibration)
  • Widened temperature range of -40°C~75°C / -40°F~167°F (-E model)
  • Galvanic isolation to shield from transients

Advanced PoE Management

With a PoE budget of up to 240W, the switch supports intelligent PoE management which includes:

  • PoE detection and scheduling
  • Scheduling based on user-defined timetables
  • Per-port power monitoring (voltage, current, power, temp.)
  • Compliant with 802.3 af/at standard

Cybersecurity and IEC 62443 Compliance*

  • Auto-FEED Configuration: Instantly applies saved configurations to replacement switches
  • USB Port: The USB port can import/export the configuration from/to USB dongle and also to upgrade firmware from USB dongle.
  • Snapshot Feature: Gathers diagnostic data for root cause analysis
  • Miss-wiring avoidance: Disables ring automatically when the pre-set ring configuration has failed or looped due to miss-wiring.
  • Node failure protection: Ensures the switches in a ring to survive after power breakout is back.
  • Loop protection: prevents the generation of broadcast storm when a dumb switch is inserted in a closed loop connection.

User Friendly GUI, Auto Topology Drawing and Enhanced Environmental Monitoring

The user-friendly UI, innovative auto topology drawing and topology demo makes the switch much easier to get hands-on. The complete CLI enables professional engineer to configure setting by command line. It supports enhanced environmental monitoring for actual input voltage, current, ambient temperature and total power load.
